Thanks to all who have shared their pictures! What a fun way to remember the night.

Google...
You would be amazed at the things you can find if you google some of the more talented classmates. Google "Tony Cea" or "Bryan Ingram" for example...pretty impressive!
Blog idea
If you would like to post on this blog yourself, please email me your email address and what you want your username to be and I'll set you up as an author. That way if you want to share links to projects you are working on or music you've been involved with, we can all easily enjoy it!
Thanks for coming!
Thanks to all who attended the reunion for making it a special night. The reviews are in, and the night was a huge success. People so enjoyed seeing Dave Cross again, reminiscing with choir friends, and making music together (some). I have a bunch of pictures, but it will take me a little time to get them up and ready for your viewing. If you want to share your pictures through the blog, please upload them to picasa or photobucket or something in an online album and email me the link. I'll post them easily that way! Thanks again for coming! I'll do it again in ten!Dan Doan's Pictures...
Dan is a talented photographer with a great lens for taking non-flash pictures in low light. Here are some pictures he took of the "reunion, the after party and the after-after party..." apparently the night didn't really ever end for some!

The files are compressed. You might need someone with a decent technical level of experience to view these files. Let me know if they are hard for you to view and I'll post the instructions. Do so by commenting below. Click on "0 comments".
MANY more pictures to come...but it's summer time...I'll be busy a bit from here out, so check in in a couple of weeks.

Dress code...
I'll be in jeans, but I guess many reunions are fancier. This isn't a fancy event, but I don't think anything would be out of place!

What to bring to the REUNION...
1. Pics of your family/kids (if you have them)
2. Anything music you need in order to perform (if you want to)
3. Cash ($10 suggested donation)
4. Date (this is extremely optional due to the number of incoming RSVPs. We went with the smaller venue based on smaller numbers, but since then there have been roughly 30 new people who have RSVP'd. We have room for 50 indoors and 30 outdoors...FYI)
We'll have a book that everyone can sign for Dave (he told me he's not really "Mr. Cross" anymore).
Hmmmmmm...that should do it.
I catch the hesitant drift from a few people. I have to say that I sincerely hope no one is hesitating based on any old grudges or feelings of potentially being sized up, as reunions are known to make people feel that way. This is not that kind of night, and everyone should feel perfectly comfortable coming NO MATTER WHAT! Choir was like a little, eclectic family to me, and I hope if you can be there, you are. Let's just say I'm no cheerleader anymore, and I'm the one planning this whole thing! I went to my ten year reunion overweight and seven months pregnant. I was quite a sight to behold, but it was so fun...and the people who were the most fun to see were my Del Sonics friends. Don't be silly and miss out on the fun!

Kirk Ihde and Dale Curriden will be in the house!
Is "in the house" really dated sounding? Regardless, so am I. My brothers make fun of me from time to time for saying "what's the haps" and other apparently dorky things. Anyway, just a few days until the big event!

Under The Red Umbrella
1520 Rucker Ave
Everett
June 28th
7:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Bring $10 CASH to contribute to the event expenses. If we collect more money, we'll donate the excess to the CHS choir fund.
We will have a drum set, an electronic piano and sound set up for anyone who wants to perform. If you need to sing to a track, bring it. Look for sign ups when you arrive. If someone can bring a bass, DO...we'd love to have a bass there for a full rhythm section.
Bring any memorabilia that you can with you, hopefully we'll have a slide show presentation available for you to buy for a couple of dollars.
I just talked to Jason O'keefe, and he has so much enthusiasm about this, it is contagious! After talking to him, I realize how many people I wish were coming who haven't contacted me! I hope everyone knows that they are invited and that there's nothing but good times to be had on memory lane!
SEE YOU SOON!

Attention REQUIRED...
Okay, Sarah and I each booked a place for that night. We have two workable options, and now we need your input to know which option to announce. We NEED RSVPs! One of the venues only allows for 50 people indoors and 30 additional outdoors. So, if we are going to have many more than that we will go with the other option.
We need an estimate of how many people to expect by May 17th. We'll announce the location shortly after, and then we'll need firm commitments by June 10th. So...email me at rebeccapierce2001@hotmail.com (put something about the reunion in the subject or I won't read it) or comment on this post and let me know if you are coming, or even probably coming and how many people will be in your party.
I keep hearing from more choir members...this week I found out that Dena Piercy will be coming, Jason O'Keefe bought his flights, I heard from Vicky Gydov and I'm in pursuit of Tiana Harper now!
We still need your help finding more alum! The registrar wasn't able to help because we needed people from so many different classes, so we are relying on word of mouth.
So far, I think we have the strongest attendence from the 87-89 graduates...where are my 93-97ers!?

Location, location, location!
We are NOT going to have the reunion at the school. They want a whole lot of money, and all this insurance, and frankly, it sounds like a huge hassle.
Sarah and I are looking into possible venues in the Everett area. If anyone has any suggestions or connections with somewhere that would work, we'd love your input! You can leave a comment on this post and we'll go from there.
One idea we are looking into is "Under the Red Umbrella" in North Everett, but they have a limit of 50 people. I think given that there will be many spouses attending, we will be well over that number. We probably need room for about 75.

Reunion Planned for June 28th!
Get the word out, there will be a reunion for all choir members directed by Dave Cross on June 28th. We are still confirming details of the location, but we hope to hold the event at CHS in the choir room. Officially, the reunion is for Del Sonics members, and in most cases that will include Vivace too, but please--all Vivace members are welcome!
Sarah Pewitt (Cross) and myself, Rebecca Pierce (Hamm) are spearheading the reunion. If you are willing to help out with the plans, WE NEED YOU!
So far we have the following members on our committee:
Reena Giese (Thomas)
Ana Rodriguez
Brandi Varnell (Christiansen)
The most important thing right now is getting the word out! We have responses from many people, even out of town who plan to attend, so I am working hard to firm up details. The date is firm, Mr. Cross will be there for sure.
If you'd like to stay in the loop via email, please comment here with you email address.
